How We Ship Prizes: From Draw to Your Doorstep
Your spot was drawn — congratulations! Now what? One of the most common questions we get is about the prize fulfillment process. Here's a complete walkthrough of what happens from the moment your spot is called to the moment the product arrives at your door.
Step 1: Notification
Within seconds of the draw, you'll receive:
- An on-site notification in your BreakAuctions dashboard.
- An email to the address on your account with the subject line "Your spot was drawn!" and details about the auction.
The draw result is also published publicly on the auction page and on our past drops page, complete with the Random.org verification link so every participant can confirm the outcome.
Step 2: Confirm Your Shipping Address
After your spot is drawn, you'll be asked to confirm or update your shipping address through your account dashboard. You have 7 days to provide a valid address. If we don't hear from you within that window, we'll reach out directly — we want to make sure you get your prize.
We ship to most countries worldwide. If your location has import restrictions on certain product categories, we'll flag that during confirmation so there are no surprises.
Step 3: Packaging and Quality Check
Every prize is inspected before dispatch. For electronics, we verify the product is factory-sealed and undamaged. For collectibles or limited-edition items, we photograph the item and its packaging for your records.
Products are then packed in reinforced shipping boxes with protective padding — foam inserts for electronics, bubble wrap for fragile items, and custom crating for anything unusually large or delicate.
Step 4: Tracked, Insured Shipping
We use reputable carriers including FedEx, UPS, and DHL depending on your region. Every shipment includes:
- Full tracking — you'll receive a tracking number via email as soon as the package is dispatched.
- Insurance — every prize is insured for its full retail value during transit. If anything happens in shipping, we replace it.
- Signature confirmation — for prizes valued over $200, we require a signature on delivery to prevent theft.
Shipping Times
Domestic orders (within country of origin) typically arrive in 3–5 business days. International shipments take 7–14 business days depending on the destination and customs processing times. We provide estimated delivery dates in your tracking email.
International Shipping and Customs
For international claimants, the prize is shipped with a commercial invoice declaring the item as a "prize/gift." Import duties or taxes, if applicable in your country, are the claimant's responsibility. Most countries have gift exemption thresholds that cover typical prizes, but we recommend checking your local customs rules. See our FAQ for more details on international shipping.
From draw to doorstep, our goal is to make the claim experience as smooth as the auction itself. If you ever have questions about a shipment, our support team is available through the contact page.
